Is Clarus LIS free?
No. You can use a 14-day free trial with every feature, then buy a perpetual licence for the computer.
Are there yearly fees?
Not for the licence: it is perpetual and needs no renewal, and updates are free for life. The laboratory website is free for its first year and then renewed yearly for a fee, and the optional services on our servers are paid by whoever wants them.
Is a subscription ever the cheaper choice?
For a short period, yes: if the months you will pay for are fewer than the licence price divided by the monthly fee, the subscription costs less in total. Beyond that, the licence bought once costs less.
