Yes. A user with the administrator or manager role adds tests and edits their reference ranges from the catalogue screen, and can import a list of tests and prices from a CSV file. The program starts with a catalogue of 1,300 tests, 202 of which are enabled at installation; the laboratory enables whichever of the rest it wants.
The program takes a backup automatically every day, checks each backup after taking it, and can copy it automatically to a second drive the laboratory names, such as a USB drive. You can also rehearse a real restore of the latest backup from inside the program, into a temporary database that never touches your live data.

A wizard inside the program reads the database files directly (Access .mdb or SQL Server) with neither of them installed, brings across patients, visits, results and your test catalogue with its names, reference ranges and packages, and shows the counts before it writes anything. The wizard reads one specific program's database; if yours is a different program, our team moves your data with you from CSV or Excel files.
A perpetual licence for this computer that never expires, and no monthly subscription. If you replace the computer, you press "Move this licence to another computer" in the program, read us the code it shows, and we release your same serial for the new computer.
