Each answer describes the program as it is today. If your question is not here, write to us on WhatsApp.
1.Does the program need the internet?
No. It runs on the laboratory's computer and works the same without internet. With internet it can look for updates, and activation can also be completed from a phone.
2.What happens when the trial ends?
The program becomes read-only until you activate a licence: every record stays, and you can open, print, export and back it up. The trial is the same program you buy, so activating a licence keeps what you entered.
3.Can several people use it?
Yes: any number of user accounts on the licensed computer, each with its own permissions.
4.How do I move to a new computer?
Ask us to move the licence: the program gives you a code, and we release your serial for the new computer. Your data comes with you from your latest backup, and our team helps you with the move.
5.How are backups made and restored?
The program backs itself up every day and checks that each backup can be read back, and it can copy the backup to another disk or a drive you attach. The backup file is not encrypted, so that it can be restored on another computer: keep it where only the laboratory can reach it.
6.How do updates arrive?
When the computer has internet, the program asks every six hours whether a newer version exists. Nothing installs by itself: someone at the laboratory chooses when, and the previous version is kept so that it can be put back. An update can also reach you as a file from us. Continuous updates are free.
7.Which analyzers can it connect?
Analyzers that send results over a serial port (ASTM or HL7) or over the network (HL7 or text), with no fee per analyzer. You add the analyzer with its protocol and map each of its codes to a test; a code that is not mapped is held aside, never guessed.
8.Can I bring the history from my previous program?
Yes. From a previous program built on Access or SQL Server, CLARUS reads its database directly and shows you the counts before writing anything. From other programs, our team moves your data with you from CSV or Excel files.
9.In which languages does the program work?
Arabic and English, chosen at installation. Reports keep scientific and medical terms in their international form.
10.How do patients receive their results?
On paper under your letterhead, through the messaging channels you set up, or on your laboratory's website, with the result code printed on the report.
11.Where is the full manual?
Inside the program, under Help. It describes every screen, works without internet and prints on paper.
