Connect your analyzers and other systems to your laboratory software

Clarus LIS reads results from the analyzers connected to your laboratory's computer, with no fee per analyzer and no limit on how many you register. For other systems it offers an HL7 FHIR R4 interface and a documented API.

Analyzers

Results are read from analyzers cabled to the computer's RS-232 serial port, in ASTM (E1381, checksummed frames) or HL7 v2. The program also includes a network (TCP) listener for analyzers that send HL7 or delimited text. A new analyzer is registered on one setup form, and a Test connection button tells you what to fix, such as a missing or busy COM port.

Hospital and clinic systems (FHIR)

An HL7 FHIR R4 (4.0.1) interface serves Patient, DiagnosticReport and order Bundle resources, and accepts transaction Bundles. Finalised reports are pushed to rest-hook Subscriptions.

Health-information exchange

A generic, configurable framework prepares FHIR laboratory-result packages for an external health-information exchange, and runs consent, release and conformance checks before sending, over a channel the laboratory configures. It is not connected to or certified by any national exchange.

Payers and insurance claims

Payer accounts and contracts, with their coverage, co-payment and pre-authorisation rules. Insurance claim packages are prepared, checked and tracked. Sending them electronically needs a connection to that payer to be set up.

Messages to patients

With internet, the program sends WhatsApp, SMS and email messages through the sending accounts the laboratory sets up. Bulk campaigns go out only through approved templates and only to patients who opted in.

Your laboratory's website

An activated licence includes one laboratory website, free for its first year, at yourlab.claruslis.com. A patient scans the QR code on a released report and reads it there, under your laboratory's name, encrypted end to end so that the hosting server cannot read it.

Egyptian e-receipt and e-invoice

Issuing the Egyptian electronic receipt and e-invoice, and submitting them to the Egyptian Tax Authority.

Beyond one computer

Link the laboratory's computers and branches, included in your licence

Several computers in one laboratory, and branches in different places, working together as one laboratory. Each computer carries its own licence, and the link between them carries no fee.

Manage your laboratory from anywhere

Reach your laboratory's program from outside the laboratory, to follow its work and run it while you are away.

Your data

Your laboratory's data stays with your laboratory

The database is installed on your laboratory's own computer, and all daily work runs there without internet. Whatever you connect, the records stay in your hands.

  • As installed, the database answers only the computer it runs on (127.0.0.1).
  • An administrator can download a full backup of the database at any time.
  • The backup file needs no key from us, so it restores on another computer.
